At Birth Well Shreveport, our mission is to provide comprehensive support to all mothers, with a particular emphasis on nurturing and empowering Black mothers who have historically lacked compassionate and culturally competent care. We are dedicated to addressing the disparities in maternal and infant health outcomes through education, advocacy, and culturally sensitive support.

Our organization recognizes the urgent need to advocate for the BIPOC community in Shreveport, Louisiana, and the surrounding areas. Through our commitment to education, empowerment, and advocacy, we strive to improve birth outcomes for those who have been marginalized and underserved.
By addressing systemic inequities and injustices in maternal healthcare, we aim to reduce infant and maternal mortality rates, decrease the incidence of preterm births, and lower the number of low birth weight infants. Our ultimate goal is to promote racial and health equity, ensuring that all mothers receive the respect, dignity, and support they deserve during the birthing process.
